In seed time learn, in harvest teach, in winter enjoy. ~William Blake

We have had the most beautiful - rather chilly - winter weather during the last couple of days. Most days the wind has been rather mellow and not howling from the north and the temps have been around -10°C. These pics are from my walk with Freyja on Sunday. Don´t you just love the blue...

As usual on a Sunday - not much happening...

A view to the south.

another southern view - here you can see the new quay that they are making.

Boring post - but the pictures say it all. I love winter...

Oh and knudsen - the brits I think are rather pleased with their Icelandic winter woollies - we can´t send them our geothermal central heating so we sent them what used to tide us through the cold winters, great looking fluffy itchy sweaters.

p.s I spoke about your polar bears again yesterday. I always use them when talking about the melting ice-cap, as one does. Make it real.

Nice pictures. We are probably done with snow for this winter. We usually only get two storms that leave the white stuff.

I'm still upset about the polar bear... they could have air lifted him back to Canada.

Well they were going to airlift polar bear number 2 - but she got away... the autopsy came back with the fact that both were too exhausted to eat anything - there was nothing in their stomach contents, even though no 2 had been in the middle of an eiderdown hatchery and could have eaten as many eggs as she wanted... Very sad

Those photos are amazing, Sigga. I especially love that first one - so pristine looking.

It must be hard to concentrate on all the bad things happening there when you have such natural beauty to distract you. Some nice pictures there. Doesn't the doggie get cold though? Surely it must feel the cold after a while.

Hey Zuba,

nah Freyja has two layers of fur - a very fine layer and then a normal layer. It is awful when she malts as then the thin stuff comes off by the handful.
